Crazy town

Well the bus to Crazy Town is scheduled to pass my house and we've decided to hop on. Yes I know I am crazy. I've actually planned this trip to The Town. Two months ago I looked forward to this trip. As departure time approaches, I am starting to get VERY nervous. Where am I going you ask?? I am going to home school. Why, you ask? I have no idea right now. I am too nervous to remember why. We home schooled back when I only had a preschooler and a Kindergartner. Even that overwhelmed me a bit. Now after 2 years in school, they are coming back home. I have a 3rd grader, 2nd grader, kindergartner, and a toddler. So I imagine this will be a bit different then last time.
I have a file cabinet full of curriculum that I have no idea what to do with and 3 semi-angelic faces staring at me, ready to learn. Really it is not the teaching part that freaks me out, it is more the organization and discipline that homeschooling requires that brings me to nausea. There is no rhyme or reason to my day. There never has been. But now there must be both rhyme and reason. Kind of like, " hey watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat!" And I am no magician. So pray for me. Encourage me. And all of you veteran home schoolers out there, HELP ME!!!!!
Lord love a duck!!!

You'll do awesome! I would suck at the patience part of homeschooling~patience is not my gift. :-)

There are some AWESOME HS blogs and message boards. I love to read them for organization ideas and some supplemental learning stuff.

I think it's going to go just fine and on the days it doesn't you can call my Crazy Town and we can create a "field trip";)
Yeah for new adventures!!!

Over on my side of Town, there is no rhyme or reason. Is there supposed to be? Oops... Oh well. My bit of advice: Remember why you wanted to homeschool. Write it on the walls. Because there will be many days that you will wonder why you are doing this.
And now I just lost my train of thought.... THERE ARE TOO MANY KIDS RUNNING ALL OVER! ;-)
Anyway, good luck. I'll be looking forward to hearing about your adventures.

Go, Mama, Go! You can do this! And take Anna's advice to remember why you are doing this - frame it, post it on your blog and on your fridge and anywhere else you can think of posting it! Looks like, from your previous posts, meals are more organized anyway! :-)~

Hey, Candi, I have something for you! Right after I read your post, I got a letter in the mail from some dear friends and HS veterans about WHY to homeschool!! Couldn't believe it! It was excellent... Now I have to figure out how to get it to you. You'll have to come get it when the baby's born! ;-)

Dearest Candi,
Thank you so much for sharing your testimony on my blog. I can't imagine that it was easy for you to do so especially the way the bullets were flying, but I am confident that God will use your words for His glory! I also know that the enemy doesn't like that. He's been on the prowl; I am praying for you specifically that you would rest in the security of our Savior's arms! Thank you again for sharing!

So it's been a month! How is the homeschooling going? I know how busy it gets, but we need an update. :) I pray that it is going well!

Grace and Peace,
Angel
