ALONE

It is Saturday afternoon and I am home alone!!!! ALONE!!!! It is very quiet. The husband is at the store, kids all with babysitters, and somehow God has blessed me with a moment alone. It is kind of boring, I hate to admit. All I ever seem to want is time alone and once I get it, I miss everyone. I guess that is how it is with most things, the grass is always greener. I'm going to go call my kids.

I'm Back

Well friends I am back! Apparently in the life of a mom you don't have much time to blog, so it has been almost a year! Lots has happened! Jacob has lost like 7 more teeth(I didn't cry for the rest of them), we gained 2 more boys in this house of boys, and been priviliged to be a part of a church plant. I will not recap the whole year, if you are reading this you probably know me. So I will start with the present.
Yesterday I was preparing my 2 kindergartners for school. Eating lunch, getting dressed, brushing teeth, you know. All of the sudden I caught wind of something stinky. Now you know if mommy can smell it, it is bad!! I searched for the offensive offender, following a trail of poop up the stairs, into the bedroom, right to the butt of my 3 year old! Unbeknownst to him, he had a trail of feces running down his leg. Well maybe he knew, but he certainly didn't care. I wisked him into the bathroon, but not before bumping the arm of his brother, leaving the evidence on the arm of his shirt (which resulted in tears of horror from the unfortunate brother, a reaction I completely understood). Upon removing the disgusting blue jeans, I discovered that at preschool someone put a pull up on him backward. I looked to be some sort of "diaper thong" thing. Stylish, maybe. Functional, definately not!!! It took an extra 20 minutes to get him bathed, changed, the brother changed and calmed down, a half a bottle of oxyclean for my poor carpet, and us in the car. 10 minutes later I had the boys safely deposited at school, only 25 minutes late!! You can never predict what will happen around here.
