Maybe Uniqua???
Ok we are down to the final 8 weeks and still without a name for this baby. Once you have had so many of the same sex, you run out of ideas. The kids have been very helpful in this area suggesting names like Uniqua (from backyardigans), Jesus, and Tyler the second. We would be thrilled with some other options. So today I open it up to any ideas you have. In case you are new here, it is a boy. Our only idea was Four Nomore Jeeninga, but I was hoping for something a little less obscure. Suggest away blogger friends!

These were boys' names before girls started using them. I still think I have earned the right to name #4, right bloggers?
Grandma
I agree with Grandma, Brett is a great name! :)
My votes:
Andrew
Drew
Carson
Dylan - I know it's so 90210, but I still like it! :)
Ryan ~ I'm still not sure why I didn't use this one on my first boy?!?
Ryland ~ you can call him Ry
When I think of some more ~ I'll let you know.
Brett? Is Grandma a Packers fan too?!

Trivia
How about one of these:
Robert
Oscar
Sam
Edward
Benjamin
Ulysses
David
1,000 points to the person who can tell me what show this is from.

Actual name suggestions to follow...
Bill: Does looking it up on Google and posting the answer count? ;-)
The story of how we came up with our boy's name is pretty cool. I had a list of names that we liked. Then one morning, my mom texted me asking what I thought of a particular name - the name that was on top of my secret list! Hmmm.. what choice do you have after that?
Sorry Bipin. Although looking it up to quench your own curiosity certainly counts for something. ROSEBUD :)
As for names, here are some that got shot down when Melissa and I were talking. Personally, I find boys names incredibly hard to pick out. Girls names are much easier.
Now on to my list in no particular order:
Mason
Jack
Brian
Mark
Jason
Brock
Liam (as close as I'd get to naming a son after myself, it is William in Gaelic)
Okay, just for the record I NEVER considered naming a child of mine Brock!! That was all Bill. We loved Jack but Jack Novak just sounds to car salesman-ish.
Here are some of the names that I liked:
Jackson (or Jack)
Connor
Matthew
Alexander (our winner!!)
Jacob
Ethan
Aidan
Okay, I've done a little research for you....
Did you know that the name Koda means last born & mother's pet. It's an African name. Now don't go thinking how crazy I am...after all I do have Talon (people at church really do think it's pronounced Tay-lonn) What about Dakoda or Kody. :) Anyway, I'm still searching - I love name meanings.
Suggestions...I will try.
The names I like and have heard in no real order:
Roman
David
Shaun
Leim
Ok I can't think of any others. If I do I will let you know.
But I think Grandma wants to name this one, so you are off the hook!
PS Uniqua sounds cool, but Tyler the second takes the cake
Keeping in line with your classics, 2 out of 3 are Biblical, so I'm going with that theme. Here's my suggestions. :-)
Matthew
Caleb
Joshua
Lucas/Luke
Jonah
Benjamin/Ben
Noah
Elijah/Eli
I think Caleb, Matthew, and Lucas/Luke are my faves with your other boys. You call Jacob Jacob, but Samuel Sam so you can go either way on nicknames. Being that your boys have very traditional names, don't try anything funky. That's my challenge too! See if you can get 33 responses. :-)
Wyatt
Tucker
Nathan
Travis
Wesley
Logan
Timothy
Luke
Gabriel
Levi
Troy
Quinlan
Anthony
Gideon
Silas
Jeremiah
Simeon
Ian
Titus
Patrick
There are a lot of names I like! Do I get a prize if you pick one of "mine"? :-) hehe
Oh, and here's a second vote for some of the ones that were already suggested:
Caleb
Mason
Ethan
Aidan
Roman
Noah
;)
i thought about trying to offer some suggestions, but i know you already have about 12 children and i don't know their names. i figured if offered a list of names, i was bound to list one that you have already used to name one of your other numerous kids...:)
(nutty jen's sister)
Jamin - Hebrew boy - Right hand of favor. A Biblical name.
Just please don't steal mine!
I saw seconds to two of my choices. Thanks Aimee and Kathy. Mr. Novak, first of all, how are you doing? Long time no see. Second, I didn't even think of the Packers when I suggested Brett, but since Candi is such a Packers' fan, that might have given that name an edge. (Too bad Jay is not).
Grandma/Candi's mom
I LOVE Jamin but Saunoris' are using that... not that you couldn't do it too but you know... name stealing is almost a felony in this county.
i like weston. My friend named her son weston and I love it. I might even use it one day if you don't!
Hi candi. I thought it would be fun to play the name-your-baby game. I like to consider meanings when throwing out names, so here are my suggestions:
Liam: Strong-willed warrior
Gavin: White hawk
Benvolio: well-wisher, peace-maker (my personal favorite character from Romeo and Juliet)
Trevor: Prudent
Hello Candi's mom! It HAS been a long time. I am doing better than ever, thanks for asking. How are you, other than being kept busy with the grandkids? Candi has mentioned having us over sometime, maybe you can stop by and see that the rumors are true and that I do indeed get better looking every day. :)
Candi, I DO have a suggestion for a middle name. "Danger" That way, he can say truthfully through his whole life that "Danger" is indeed his middle name.
By the way, the answer to my question is "The Dick Van Dyke Show". When Rob and Mary's son was born, the family was argueing about what his name should be. Each grandparent had a different name, and Rob decided to honor them all by making their suggestions his middle name. The acronym for their suggestions spelled out "ROSEBUD", which became their sons middle name.
I like the Trevor rec. my friend named her son Trevor and its a nice balance of classic and new.
